Modelling Fruit (Mango) with Subdivision Surface in Blender 3D.

Hello guys, we meet again. I’m so excited to write this mango subdivision surface posting because this is the first time we’ll try making an organic object. There are several steps we need to create until we receive a proper mango object, so basically this is a serial tutorial, but I won’t separated in parts (tittle) because each feature we will use in this tutorial is stand alone tool that can be use on different object.

Okay, in this first part we will modelling fruit object ( mango ) with a little help from subdivision surface modifier. Open your blender 3d program and create a new file project. Don’t delete the cube, we will use it as our basic object. Press N to bring Properties panel and set the dimension to 2 x 4 x 2 unit.

Blender 3D Glass Material Tutorial For Beginner.

After we create several objects using bevel, screw, and spin tool, now we will add a glass material on one of the object we made. Open your glass object file or if don’t have one, just use blender monkey default object for this practice purpose.

On material editor, click New button and set the Specular : Hardness = 150, check Transparency box ( Raytrace ), Alpha: 0, and IOR: 1.150. Or you can just see from this picture:

Spin Tool To Create A Glass in Blender 3D.

Third method we will use to create a twist kinda object is Spin Tool. The difference between 2 previous method with the spin tool object is it has to be a Mesh and not a Curve/Text. But, before we get to the main topic, please check my old tutorials that have related subject with this posting.

How to Make Wicker Basket in Blender 3D.

Still using Screw Modifier, after we make some vase and ceramic, now we will try to create a wicker basket on this new blender tutorial. Like always move to new layer so we can more focus. Set the viewport to Front Ortho ( numpad 1 and numpad 5 ).

Just like the previous tutorial, you have to create a 2d curve with bezier and always check that Align to View box. Now enter Edit Mode and draw a curve like this:
