Here we are, at the last part of this organic tutorial series. After going through the mango modeling, paint the skin, make the stalk, now the final article is about making its leaves with transparent alpha channel method.

I don’t want to waste your precious time, so let’s get to work, shall we?.

Open your previous file or a new blender file is okay too. And then create a Mesh —> Plane object with dimension 4 x 2.

Convert Cylinder to Small Stalk in Blender 3D.

After we finish with modeling the mango fruit and paint its skin, now we will convert a cylinder to small stalk. This tutorial is quiet short and simple to follow. If you actually following this mango series, I’m sure you have the practice file, right?. So open your file that have mango object and click a new layer. Or just create a new file.

To create a cylinder, press Shift + A and choose Mesh —> Cylinder. Set the parameter like picture below:

Make Realistic Fruit Skin (Mango) in Blender 3D.

How’s your texture paint practice from our last blender 3d tutorial?. Tweet me a photo of it. If you already happy with your texture paint, that’s good, but if you want more realistic, the read this fruit skin posting till the end. Oh, one more thing, don’t forget to save as you uv image on your computer, so next time you open the file you don’t have to repaint the mango object, okay?.

When you click texture editor, you already see the uv image texture on the list. But, we will make another texture, so the skin looks more stand out.

Let’s Play with Texture Paint in Blender 3D.

As a continuity from our last article how to create an organic object (mango), now we will learn how to texture paint on the object. You can use blender default object for this practice, but if you curious about how to make a fruit you can click on that link above. Before we do some painting, I advice you to peel mango skin with mark seam.

Peel Mango Skin with Mark Seam Technique:

After you apply the subdivision surface modifier, enter to edit mode, and now the object display in wireframe.
