When you create a blogger blog, there are only 3 step you have to do before you have a blog. You can look and change some of the things later on Settings section. This post is part of my blogger settings guideline for beginner that will have 3 part of them.
This 1st part, I’m gonna show you a simple guidelines of basic and posts sub-section.
BASIC.
It’s a basic information about your blog that include your blog tittle, description and privacy. I think it’s quiet easy to understand the title and description part, right?. But i have a few thought about privacy part. If your blog still under construction, it’s safe for you to set this option to NO. Think as a visitor. You don’t want to read a blog that have a “nasty” layout, do you?.
So, yesterday I’ve got a little problem with my other blogspot site. It’s a new site and in the early of its construction, I’m not sure with the blog name that i changed it like 2-3 times. At that time i forgot i already have the old feed url and use them as my recent post gadget references. A few days ago, i noticed the top of the recent link display a post from last year. That’s mean it hasn’t been update to my actually newest post. I figure it out, it because my old feedburner link, so i want to remove it and replace with the new one. But then i can’t.
I click on the edit gadget icon, but it’s only show tittle Configure Feed, and then nothing. No remove, save, or cancel button. Nothing. So, i tried to remove it manually from HTML file, and it’s work. I’m pretty sure some of you will experience problem like this once in the while with other gadget. So, this is how to fix it.
When you create your very first blogger blog, the platform will ask you which template you want to use. Because it’s the first steps, people will choose randomly. Now let’s say you already know which topic you want to blogging about and already have a proper template for it.
Below are important things that you can use on blogger template section to make your blog appearance look better.
When you want to add addition information about your blog, such as: what your blog is about, advertising space details, contact info, etc, you need to add a single page.
It’s very simple to add pages on blogger, just follow this tutorial.
1. When you in your blog dashboard, click Pages tab. On the top, you will see there’s a New Page button that offer you 2 type of pages: blank page and web address. Blank page is a page that added inside your blog. When you click on it, the text window will appear just like post window.
When you want to direct readers to other web address, inside or outside your blog, you choose web address. This is usually apply if you have portfolio to another web service or if you want to add email address. Continue reading How to Create Blogspot Pages.→
