[Blender 3D] Star Add-on and Magic Wand.

To create a star magic wand we can use a bezier curve like what we learn before. But, did you know that Blender 3d itself have a hidden add-on that actually can create a star automatically. To active the add-on, go to File —> User Preferences, click add-on tab, and on left sidebar active Add Mesh. Don’t forget to click Save User Settings button.

[Blender 3D] Hogwarts Logo on Wizard Hat.

I’m sure most of you who reading this article are a new visitor. A short brief from me though, this article is part 2 of my Harry Potter witch hat. Read that link if you want to know how I create the hat part. Like I said at the end of part 1 article, I’m going to add a hat belt and hogwarts logo on it.

Basically there 2 method that we can use to create the hat belt. I’m gonna show both of them and let you decide, okay?.

1. ShrinkWrap.

It will be easy and look sophisticated if you choose to use Shrinkwrap modifier. But, it also not neat. Open your Harry Potter hat blender file, convert hat to become a Mesh object so we can edit its vertex/edge/face. Use command Alt + C and choose Mesh From Curve/Meta/Surf/Text.

After that add a Cylinder object.

[Blender 3D] The Making of Harry Potter Witch Hat.

This is so exciting!. Raise your hand if you’re a fans of Harry Potter. I probably not a big fans of this franchise, but I absolutely enjoy every movies of it. It is definitely a magical world. So I came to this idea to create a harry potter witch hat. I’m writing this hoping you all will like it. For this learning course, we will use NURBS (Non Uniform Rational Boolean Surface) technique to create the hat. In simple meaning, Nurbs is a face that created from different joint objects.

Now, let’s begin…shall we?.

Make a new blender file and for the bottom part of the hat, go add a Shift + A —> Surface —> Nurbs Circle.

[Blender 3D] Give Faucet a Quick Fluid Effect.

If on my little island tutorial I show you how to add an ocean water, in this article we will learn another water apply that called quick fluid. This is the right effect for our faucet object. Hopefully by the end of this article we can see the actual water comes out from the faucet. Finger crossed first hahaha.

Open the previous practice blender 3d file, and for the fluid source let’s create a Sphere. Place it inside faucet mouth.
